I have always had a special interest in thatched roof cottages. It started when I was younger when I would read stories anout England and Ireland during the Gothic period. Then I was frasinciated wtih how they looked in movies. Around 15 yrs ago I started

I am pleased and proud to have found this site about a village in Bedfordshire, my royal ancestors' homeland. I just learned recently about my royal past, which is traced back to medieval and renaissance Bedfordshire. If that royal line were still alive
nd well today, then I would be a Duchess of Bedfordshire. But I look forward to learning more about my homeland and what my family did to make Bedfordshire into what it is today.

I recall seeing all the bombers taking off & landing at the airfield at Tempsford when I was about 15 years old. I also remember the RAF lads enjoying the dances at the Blunham village hall and frequenting the local pubs.
