Views of Blunham
This is Shoe Cottage in the centre of Blunham, built in the year 1666, (the same year as the the Great Fire of London). It was also the year that the 'great plague' hit Blunham. There is a footpath behind our garden, called a plague path, where infected people from the Grange end of the village were made to walk on Sundays, to go to church - they were banned from the centre of the village. At one point, the High Street was actually barrackaded to stop them infecting the Church end of the village.
